It's Christmastime..There is no need to be afraid...

Ahh...Christmas 1984. I was a preteen dorklet head over heels for New Wave music and then all my favorite British pop stars made a record for the starving in Africa. I remember it like it was yesterday. In my DayGlo pink shirt and skinny tie, short boy's regular haircut. Don't forget the blond piece in the front like John Taylor from Duran Duran. My mother swore I was the only girl that brought in male pop star photos to SuperCuts. But they were all so pretty!

Anyway, I watched the making of BandAid and the video for the song over and over again. It still gives me chills when I hear Paul Young start the opening line. Yes, I know who sang each part. That was the year I fell in love once and for all with Bob Geldof and learned you can change the world one little bit at a time.

Amy-zing and the big "K"

This is written by my dear friend who shall remain nameless to protect her.

Ok so prior to my being fired from the day spa which will not be named... My delightful friend Amy E offered to practice some waxing on my nether regions.... Long story short, she tried to wax a "K" on my who-ha....god love her she tried....and it looked more like an "X", but it was a laugh shared by us and unfortunately, I haven't laughed with her since, as I was shortly after that terminated, (nothing to do with the waxing) and I found out that she had given her notice and has left the spa which will not be named. She is on to bigger and better things, as am I....(hopefully soon)...and I am happy to report that the hair is slowly growing back, and I laugh each day when I remember what was a great day with a great person and friend....good times!

State Board Monday

The OC

I have the Occupancy Certificate in my hot little hand and a copy is going in the packet today to the Commonwealth of Mass along with a big check and (fingers crossed) in a few weeks we will be all ready for facials!

Permit is Signed

The Plumbing Inspector signed off on my sink and now everyone else in Natick has to come and visit me. The Fire Dept. does not like my curtains, so those have to come down. :-( Everything else is working along well, so keep your fingers crossed!

SINK IS IN

Oh man, I turned on the hot water from the new sink tonight - we are so close! Now the inspector will come back hopefully on Tuesday and we are on a roll!

World Reflexology Week

Inspection, Round 1

The guy came yesterday and we have the green light to fill the wall up with insulation and seal it up so then the sink can hang from it. I should take a picture of my beautiful copper pipes. I should seal the wall with glass like they do to the dead saints so all can see forever and ever.

End of Summer

I delivered two shopping bags full of school supplies to the Natick Service Council yesterday. They were very happy. We will be collecting toiletries for the rest of August and September for them for Karma Credits.

The Littlest Spa will be open on Sundays during Patriots games, starting Sunday, September 7 from 1-5pm.

Still no Inspector

So this part of Project New Sink will be postponed until after vacation. I sit for my State Aesthetic Boards in the morning...so wish me luck!

Plumb, Plumb, Plumb

We are knee deep in the first step of getting a new sink in the backroom installed. I now own many feet of two inch copper pipes (one sticks out of the roof by the back door). It is the most expensive thing I own right now. :-) The inspector comes in the morning to visit my shiny new pipes. This is the first in a long series of challenges, kind of like The Amazing Race. The next challenge is my state boards on Saturday. If I win all the challenges, I get to do eyebrow waxing and facials at The Littlest Spa.

We have appointments available on Saturday, August 2 and would love to see you. Amy will be out of town from Saturday August 9-Friday August 15 and not checking email. Leslie will be happy to see you during that week. And now...Haiku!

Massage Week Was Huge Success!

ABMP's Massage Week at The Littlest Spa was a huge success - thanks to everyone that came in to try us out. We did many many massages and for $50 for 50 minutes you just can't beat that price. We will continue a $50 for new clients e-special so tell your friends to come in and mention that you read it on The Littlest Blog.

First Steps...

I am so excited to document the first steps with opening my own spa. All names will be changed to protect the innocent (so no names will be changed - who among my friends or clients are innocent?)
